A Future Clinical Pathologist
Dr. Chu received her DVM degree from National Taiwan University in 2013. After graduation, she worked in a renal specialty animal hospital for six months. With the keen interest in veterinary nephrology, she joined Dr. Mary Nabity's lab at Texas A&M University as a Ph.D. student in 2014 and enrolled in Hemodialysis Academy offered by UC Davis at the same time. Her research focus is to discover novel biomarkers in biofluids for diagnosing canine glomerular diseases. She passed the NAVLE in 2015, won the 2017 ASVCP Young Investigator Award (basic research) and both the 2016 and 2017 ACVP Young Investigator Award (first place). After finishing her Ph.D. works, she is going to start her clinical pathology residency training at Texas A&M University in July 2018.
